The Z 2 mobile knife folding unit can be swiveled 180 ° and allows folding from both above and below. It can be used for various purposes:

• on combination and buckle plate folding machines as folding unit IV for 32 pages, for the production of English, German and international quarter folds as well as for special fold types.
• on buckle plate folders as folding unit III – here the folded material can be returned to the central control panel.
• for parallel folds to the spine according to the 1. and 2. cross-fold on combination folding machines, in conjunction with the corner conveyor table.
• in connection with saddle stitchers for small folding of brochures at right angles and, in connection with the corner feed table, parallel to the spine.
• as a layer folding unit for small folding of products at right angles or parallel to the spine, in connection with a drum feeder, corner conveyor table as well as a delivery.
• for very tightly closed window folds on buckle plate folding machines after folding unit II, on combination folding machines in conjunction with the corner conveyor table.
